During the missile strike on March 21, Russian occupiers focused their attack on the north and center of Ukraine. Additionally, there was observed activity of Russian reconnaissance drones.

This was reported by the head of the Unified Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine, Natalia Humenyuk, during a telethon.

According to her, the concentration of Russian forces attack efforts was focused on the north and center of Ukraine, with the capital being under attack.

"And this, in principle, was expected, obvious, and predicted. We talked about the fact that after the 'elections' that the enemy held on its territory and temporarily occupied territories (of Ukraine), they could increase pressure on the frontline territories and on further regions of Ukraine, including the capital," she said.

This time, according to Humenyuk, the south was engaged in combat operations, but it mainly concerned tracking the direction of missiles.

"You probably saw that the trajectory of the missiles was complex, maneuvers were made, they tried to bypass the air defense systems. So, we worked throughout the country," the speaker noted.

Moreover, Humenyuk pointed out that Russian ships were not involved in this attack.

"They were in their bases. And they haven't been patrolling for the past two weeks. And missile carriers have been at the base for over a month," she said.

According to her, there was increased activity of Russian unmanned reconnaissance, especially on March 20.

"Yesterday, at the end of the world day, in the Black Sea waters, two SuperCam enemies were destroyed by air defense forces, which approached the waters closer to the coast, trying to collect maximum information. In total, the activity of unmanned reconnaissance, especially in our area of responsibility, reached 147 units per day. This is a very high indicator. So, they try to compensate for the absence of A-50 in the air," Humenyuk added.
