In the occupied Energodar, Russian invaders are forcing employees of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to drain the cooling pools.

This was reported by the press service of Energoatom.

"To relieve themselves of responsibility for committing acts of nuclear terrorism, the rashists resort to forceful coercion against Ukrainian nuclear scientists. Now they are using bullying and torture to force the workers of the plant's hydro department to come up with a justification for the need to drain these pools for the management of the Zaporizhzhia NPP and the State Enterprise "NAEC" Energoatom "," the statement says the message.

It is noted that the invaders severely beat the diver of the ZNPP hydro department Andrei Goncharuk, who was taken to the Energodar hospital with numerous injuries on June 29.

It will be recalled that the racists are preparing a severe provocation at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP. In particular, they plan to accuse Ukrainian nuclear scientists of storing weapons on the station's territory. To do this, several workers were detained and tortured to confess to them, more precisely - to state to themselves that in March, they allegedly dropped some weapons in a concrete bowl of cooling pools at the ZNPP: either explosives or shells.

Under this pretext, the occupiers insist on draining the cooling pools and checking its bowls, as well as stopping the pumps that supply water to the safety systems of power units. This could leave the units of Europe's largest nuclear power plant without cooling and is a serious breach and could threaten nuclear safety. Then the occupiers can throw anything into the concrete bowl: explosives, unexploded shells, and other weapons. And then blame ZNPP employees or its defenders for this and make it a legal reason to invite the IAEA station and present these "facts".
