Odessa region was hit by one of the most intense Russian air attacks overnight, resulting in damage to civilian, energy, and industrial infrastructure, regional authorities reported.

According to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, the strikes caused fires and damaged administrative buildings as well as energy facilities. Power outages were reported in several areas of the region. Emergency services were deployed immediately to address the consequences of the attack.

Preliminary reports indicated that at least two people were injured, with no fatalities confirmed.

As a result of the attack, all traction substations in the city were left without power, and tram and trolleybus services have been temporarily suspended.

Later, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine clarified that four people were injured as a result of the large-scale Russian strike on critical and civilian infrastructure. Fires broke out across multiple locations following the attack.

Despite prolonged air raid alerts, firefighters worked through the night to extinguish blazes, including a large fire on a civilian vessel. Additional fires were reported at energy infrastructure sites and in warehouse facilities storing textile products.

Residential buildings, an administrative facility, civilian vehicles, and a fire truck sustained damage during the attack. More than 100 State Emergency Service firefighters were involved in emergency response and cleanup operations.

Authorities continue to assess the full extent of the damage, while repair and recovery efforts remain underway.

UPDATE

In Odessa region, 20 substations have been damaged, DTEK reports.

UPDATE

As a result of a massive combined attack on the Odesa region, energy infrastructure facilities were damaged. This led to power outages at several critical infrastructure sites that provide water and heat supply.

Resilience centers are operating around the clock, and residents can also charge their devices at stores in several retail chains.

City hospitals have been switched to autonomous operation using alternative power sources. Water and fuel supplies have been secured.
