In the operational area of the “East” troop group, the intensity of Russian offensives has recently increased by 30%, which is attributed to weather conditions, according to the spokesperson for the East troop group, Captain Hryhoriy Shapoval.
“Over the past day, there were 23 combat engagements along our directions. The enemy suffered significant losses: 555 personnel were irreversibly eliminated, and enemy equipment and electronic warfare systems were also struck,” he said.
Shapoval noted that the Russian attempts to enter Ukrainian-controlled territory in small assault groups of 4–6 fighters on light motor vehicles, then tries to consolidate and conduct assaults in groups of 25–30.
He added that the recent 30% increase in offensive intensity is due to weather conditions—rain and fog—allowing the Russian forces to attempt infiltration, though unsuccessfully.
