During the night of May 30 (starting at 10:50 p.m. on May 29), the Russian forces launched an attack using 90 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Millerovo, Oryol, Shatalovo, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and also struck with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region of Russia.
The main targets of the air attack were the Kharkiv, Odessa, and Donetsk regions.
The assault was repelled by Ukraine’s air force, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) and drone units, as well as mobile fire teams of the Defense Forces.
As of 08:00, Ukrainian air defense had neutralized 56 Shahed-type and other drones over the east, south, and north of the country:
- 26 were destroyed by kinetic weapons,
- 30 were jammed or lost via electronic warfare.
Russian aerial weapons struck 12 locations.
