The involvement of China and the countries of the Global South in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula will ensure Russia's real political and economic isolation. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky at the discussion panel of the 18th meeting of the Yalta European Strategy "The Future is Decided in Ukraine".
"It is important for us to involve China in the Peace Formula. It is important for us to bring the Global South specifically to our side. All of this will have an impact, and there will be real, concrete - not abstract - political isolation of Russia. Political isolation is always followed by economic isolation. These are very important steps," Volodymyr Zelensky said.
He also noted that China's direct message to the Russian Federation about the inadmissibility of intimidation with nuclear weapons was important.
The Head of State is convinced that Ukraine has chosen the right strategy for the implementation of the Peace Formula. In particular, the second meeting at the level of national security advisors on the Formula was held, which contributed to the involvement of a wider range of countries, including the Global South.
"This was an extremely important step - we added countries that were balancing yesterday and wanted to offer something separate from our strategy to end the war," the President stated.
According to him, Ukraine is ready to listen to the partners' proposals on the points of the Peace Formula, in particular on nuclear, food security and peace in general.
"We are ready to hear your suggestions. All of them. We have things in common that we all need. You don't want to defend Ukraine? Fine, defend the whole world from nuclear weapons. You don't want to protect Ukrainian farmers? Fine, please protect your people from starvation. There must be common interests," the Head of State emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelensky said that after the meetings at the advisory level in Copenhagen and Jeddah, preparations are underway for the third meeting, which is expected to be even more powerful.
"After that, we can proceed to the first summit of leaders. And at this summit, we need to bring together as many countries as possible," the President noted.
