During the night of August 5 (starting from 7:00 p.m. on August 4), the Rusian forces launched an attack using 46 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Kursk, Bryansk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Bryansk region, Russia.
The air assault was repelled by the Ukrainian Defense Forces using aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) units, drone systems, and mobile fire groups.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or neutralized 29 Shahed drones and various types of decoy UAVs over the northern and eastern parts of the country.
Confirmed impacts include 17 UAVs in the eastern direction, one ballistic missile, and debris from downed drones in three locations in the southern and northeastern areas.
