Russia launched an attack with 112 drones, air defense shot down 73 UAVs

On the night of May 16 (starting at midnight), the Russian forces launched an attack using 112 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and various types of decoy drones, coming from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia.

The air assault was repelled by Ukrainian Defense Forces, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.

As of 9:00 AM, 73 strike UAVs, including Shahed drones and others, were confirmed shot down over the east, north, south, and center of the country.

Additionally, 36 decoy drones were lost location-wise without causing any damage.

The regions affected by the attack include Odessa, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv.
