On the night of June 6, Russian forces launched a series of coordinated missile and drone strikes across multiple regions of Ukraine, resulting in at least four deaths, dozens of injuries, and significant damage to both civilian and industrial infrastructure. The attacks, stretching from the capital Kyiv to western regions like Lviv and Lutsk, underscore the continuing intensity of the conflict and its heavy toll on Ukraine’s cities and communities.

Kyiv

Kyiv suffered some of the worst consequences of the overnight assault. Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, reported on Telegram:

"One person was killed in the capital as a result of the enemy attack. According to the latest information from medics, 20 people have been injured. Sixteen of them have been hospitalized."

Later, he updated that the death toll had tragically risen to four, and that search and rescue operations were ongoing at several locations.

The attacks also caused major infrastructure disruptions. Over 2,100 households on Kyiv’s left bank lost electricity due to the strikes. Rail infrastructure was damaged as well, forcing rerouting of trains on the Trypillia route through Fastiv.

Poltava Region

In the Poltava region’s Kremenchuk district, Russian missile strikes damaged multiple administrative buildings, warehouses, and a café, as well as a private home hit by falling debris. Volodymyr Kohut, acting head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, provided details on Telegram:

"As a result of today’s massive enemy attack in the Kremenchuk district, administrative buildings, warehouses of several enterprises, and a café were damaged."

He confirmed that fires sparked by the attack had been extinguished and reported that three people were injured—two treated on site and one hospitalized in moderate condition.

Lviv Region

In the Lviv region, the Drohobych district bore the brunt of an attack involving combat drones and cruise missiles. Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, reported:

"Last night, the enemy attacked Lviv region with combat drones and cruise missiles. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or injuries. I thank our air defense for that."

An industrial facility was damaged in the strike. Kozytskyi also noted that several nearby villages were experiencing power outages due to damage to power lines, but emergency crews were already working to restore electricity. He emphasized that all critical infrastructure in the region remained operational.

Ternopil

The city of Ternopil was hit by a combined attack using Kalibr cruise missiles and Shahed-type drones. Vyacheslav Nehoda, head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, shared the following update on Facebook:

"Unfortunately, five people were injured. All are receiving the necessary medical assistance."

He added that local industrial infrastructure suffered damage during the attack and that authorities were actively managing the aftermath. According to Vyacheslav Nehoda, head of the Regional Military Administration, 10 people are currently known to be affected, including 5 emergency service workers. Six individuals have been hospitalized.

Lutsk

In Lutsk, a massive missile and drone attack resulted in the partial destruction of a multi-story residential building. Ivan Rudnytskyi, head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration, reported on Telegram:

"In Lutsk, a multi-story residential building was hit and suffered partial destruction. The blast wave also shattered windows in many other buildings. At this point, five people have been injured. Residents have been evacuated, and all are receiving medical assistance. Fortunately, there are no fatalities."

Chernihiv

Photos have emerged showing the aftermath of a combined strike on Chernihiv.

The footage was shared by Oleksandr Lomako, acting mayor of Chernihiv. He noted that the Russian forces attacked the city with ballistic missiles and Shaheds.

"Unfortunately, there are casualties. Residential buildings, critical infrastructure, and social facilities have been damaged. Once again, much sorrow… much pain…" he wrote.
