Russian forces continued their attacks on Ukrainian territory over the past 24 hours, inflicting civilian casualties and damaging homes, infrastructure and industrial facilities in several regions.
Kherson Region
Two civilians were injured in Kherson region amid Russian drone, air and artillery strikes, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported on Telegram.
Settlements across the region — including Inhulets, Sukhanove, Shyroka Balka, Sofiivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Zolota Balka, Tomaryne, Dudchany, Sadove, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Nadiivka, Mylove, Poniativka, Mykilske, Chaykyne, Prydniprovske, Antonivka, Kizomys, Doslidne, Berehove, Blahovishchenske, Novoraisk, Monastyrske, Novovorontsovka, Burhunka, Veletenske, Vesele, Zelenivka, Kozatske, Kostyrka, Lvove, Mykhailivka, Novokairy, Odradokamyanka, Olhivka, Sablukivka and the city of Kherson — came under attack. Three apartment buildings, 19 private houses, outbuildings, a garage and vehicles were damaged.
Donetsk Region
On September 21, Russian forces killed four civilians in Kostiantynivka and wounded eight others across Donetsk region, regional governor Vadym Filashkin reported on Facebook. Since the start of the war, 3,652 civilians have been killed and 8,163 injured in the region, not including Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Zaporizhzhia Region
Russian troops launched five strikes on Zaporizhzhia, hitting civilian infrastructure and industrial facilities, regional governor Ivan Fedorov said on Telegram. Vehicles were destroyed, fires broke out, and the death toll from the September 22 morning airstrike has risen to three.
Dnipropetrovsk Region
Russian forces attacked Nikopol and Synelnykove districts overnight, damaging private homes and sparking fires at an enterprise. According to governor Serhiy Lysak, artillery shelling and FPV drone strikes hit the communities of Nikopol, Marhanets, Myrivka and Pokrovske. Two private houses and a farm building were damaged. Updated reports indicate that a five-story building and additional homes in Nikopol were also hit. After midnight, drones struck Pokrovske community, igniting a summer kitchen, garage and truck, as well as six other vehicles, and setting part of a local enterprise ablaze.
Kyiv Region
Four districts of Kyiv region were targeted by Russian drone attacks overnight, causing fires and property damage, regional military administration chief Mykola Kalashnyk reported. In Boryspil district, a 30-year-old man sustained a shrapnel wound to his shoulder and received medical care.
The attacks sparked a forest fire in Vyshhorod district, set a private house ablaze in Fastiv district, and scattered debris on an uninhabited multi-story building in Obukhiv district. In Boryspil district, a private home caught fire and vehicles were damaged. Emergency services are working to contain the damage in all affected areas.
Sumy region
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 129 attacks across 54 settlements in 19 territorial communities of Sumy region, resulting in injuries among civilians. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
In Shalyhyn community, a 63-year-old man was injured by an FPV drone strike, while in Sumy community, another 63-year-old man was wounded by a UAV attack. The heaviest shelling was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts. Settlements affected by Russian strikes included communities such as Sumy, Khotin, Yunakivka, Mykolaivka rural, Myropil, Krasnopillia, Richkivka, Bilopillia, Vorozhbyany, Lebedyn, Shalyhyn, Esman, Hlukhiv, Seredyna-Buda, Svesa, Znob-Novgorod, Putyvl, Novoslobidka, and Velykopysarivka.
Russian troops actively used guided aerial bombs, UAV strikes, and grenade drops from drones: more than 20 GAB strikes, over 10 UAV strikes, and 10 VOG drops from drones. Additionally, the Russian forces carried out FPV drone attacks and missile strikes across Sumy region.
In Shalyhyn community, a private car was destroyed; in Bilopillia community, a private house, car, and tractor were damaged; in Seredyna-Buda community, a private house was destroyed; in Richkivka community, a private house was damaged; in Sumy community, non-residential buildings, school facilities, multi-story buildings, and private cars were damaged.
Local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, National Police, and public organizations from border communities, evacuated one person over the past day.
Air raid alerts in the region lasted a total of 17 hours and 55 minutes.
