The Octopus interceptor, developed within the Ukrainian Armed Forces and proven in combat, has been handed over for production to the first three Ukrainian companies.
Another eleven manufacturers are currently undergoing technical preparation to join the programme.
“Ukraine is launching serial production of its own interceptor to counter Shahed drones. Octopus is a Ukrainian Shahed‑interception technology developed by the Armed Forces and confirmed in battle. It operates at night, under jamming, and at low altitudes. We are launching these interceptors into serial production so they can begin protecting Ukraine’s skies as soon as possible,” said Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Denys Shmyhal.
The Ministry of Defense continues to implement an open‑interaction policy with Ukrainian manufacturers, creating conditions for a rapid transition from innovation to serial combat‑ready solutions that strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
