From the morning of May 12 to the morning of May 13, Russian forces launched nearly 240 strikes on Sumy region, resulting in one fatality.
This was reported on Facebook by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
In the Sumy community, a Russian drone strike on an energy service vehicle killed the driver, born in 1981. Over the course of the day, from the morning of May 12 to the morning of May 13, Russian forces carried out nearly 240 strikes on 40 settlements across 16 territorial communities in the region.
The most attacks were recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.
The Russian forces conducted more than 10 GAB bomb attacks and over 80 VOG grenade drops from drones, carried out more than 40 FPV drone strikes, and fired around 50 times using multiple rocket launchers. Three missile strikes were also recorded.
- In the Mykolaivka settlement community, 11 private homes, a car, and a tractor were damaged.
- In the Sumy community, one private home and five cars were damaged.
- In the Yunakivka community, a private house was destroyed.
- In the Buryn community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.
- In the Bilopillia community, a cultural center was damaged.
Over the past day, 920 people were evacuated from border communities in Sumy region.
The air raid alert lasted 8 hours and 18 minutes throughout the day.
