Satellite images of the Saki airfield in the Crimean Novofedorovka before the explosions sounded there (there are different versions regarding their origin), and after appeared on the Web.
As a result of yesterday's explosions, 9 aircraft were destroyed at the Saki air base in the temporarily occupied Crimea, and the airfield was put out of action. Oleksandr Zavitnevich, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, wrote about this on Facebook.
According to Zavitnevich, planes flew out of Novofedorovka and carried out missile attacks on Ukraine, particularly with anti-radar missiles to suppress the Ukrainian air defense.
âThis airfield is one of the key airfields of the Crimean Peninsula for Russian aviation. Until 2014, it was the base of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which we will definitely return back,â he stressed.
