On the Tavria direction, Russian military 'mutiny, refusing to go on assaults,' said Colonel Olexander Shtupun, the spokesperson for the Unified Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction, during a TV marathon.
"Firstly, they have New Year holidays, and the Russians don't really want to go on the attack at all. Some units are starting to mutiny and refuse or flee from the trenches to avoid going. In other words, they are sabotaging," Shtupun explained.
According to him, "the enemy is trying to inflict maximum losses on logistic routes, Ukrainian fortifications, and reach Ukrainian defenders." Shtupun clarified that "after this, the occupiers will try to throw new infantry forward in 'meat' assaults again."
The spokesperson also reported that on the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian military is "trying to regain lost ground," and "the total losses of the enemy army are maintained at the level of 400-500 occupiers per day."
On the morning of December 5, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that there were 59 combat clashes on the front line in the previous day.
