South Korea will continue to provide security support, humanitarian aid, and assistance in reconstruction to Ukraine. Next year, they will double their contribution to NATO's Trust Fund for Ukraine to $24 million USD, up from this year's contribution. President Yoon Suk Yeol made this announcement in Washington during a meeting with NATO allies and partners, as reported by Yonhap.

In June, South Korea contributed $12 million USD to NATO's Trust Fund "Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine," supporting the construction of a military-medical rehabilitation center.

In 2022, South Korea provided $100 million USD in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, followed by $150 million USD in short-term aid in 2023, with a commitment of $300 million USD for this year.

Starting next year, Seoul plans to offer $2 billion USD in long-term loans at low interest rates through the Economic Development Fund to support Ukraine, along with providing 200 generators to support Ukraine's energy sector.

President Yoon's participation in this year's NATO summit garnered attention amid South Korea's potential reconsideration of its ban on supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine in response to the military agreement between North Korea and Russia, though this topic was not discussed during the summit.
