The Spanish government will provide Ukraine with a new package of military equipment, weapons, and ammunition. According to information posted on the official website of the Spanish Ministry of Defense, the government has committed to transferring new armored transport vehicles, inflatable boats, launchers, and missiles for air and anti-ship defense to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Additionally, Ukraine will receive trucks for working with these systems, rapid medical assistance vehicles, and equipment for military hospitals. The statement also mentioned that during a recent meeting in the "Ramshtain" format, the Spanish Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, informed about Spain's plans to double the number of Ukrainian military personnel who will undergo training this year.
"In the sidelines of the meeting, Margarita Robles participated in the first meeting of the coalition to support Ukraine in the field of information and communication technologies, during which she emphasized Spain's commitment to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in the field of cybersecurity, offering materials and training," the Ministry of Defense stated.
Robles noted good progress in the preparation of Ukrainian personnel on Spanish territory as part of the EUMAM mission in Ukraine under the coordination of the Training Coordination Center in Toledo. Approximately 4,000 military personnel are expected to undergo training there, doubling the initially announced number.
In response to Ukraine's new needs, a military skydiving course in an aerodynamic tube will be offered, along with various specialized courses for military personnel.
Additionally, Spain will provide materials to continue the operation of the Role 2+ mobile hospital, which was provided to Ukraine in August. This includes surgical and other medical equipment.
The field hospital is a crucial element for providing assistance to the injured in case of combat operations. Its tasks include identifying, stabilizing, and, if necessary, performing surgical procedures on the injured before their transport to a hospital
