The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov visited the frontline command posts of the military.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU.
"We listened to the commanders of the military formations regarding the situation in their areas of responsibility. The situation is complex in many directions and requires constant monitoring. The enemy is conducting regular assaults on our positions," Syrskyi wrote.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU, together with the commanders, the situation was thoroughly analyzed and future steps were discussed, including the potential of maneuverable and positional defense, as well as strengthening certain areas.
Syrskyi also emphasized the importance of coordination and proper operational interaction among all branches of the Armed Forces, as well as the preservation of the lives of our servicemen and servicewomen.
"We spoke with the commanders of brigades and individual battalions about the situation on the ground. We analyzed problems that do not have a systemic nature. Urgent decisions were made to improve combat readiness, resilience, and management. Despite the difficult situation, our soldiers bravely hold the lines and positions. The enemy is suffering irreparable losses," added the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU.
As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the past day:
• The Russian forces attempted to breach the defense of our forces on the Mariupol direction 39 times.
• Russian forces attacked 13 times on the Bahmut direction.
• Our defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks on the Avdiivka direction.
