The main striking forces of the Russian troops are concentrated on the Pokrovske and Kurakhivske fronts, stated the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

He informed that due to the difficult situation in the east, he had been working for two days in the units conducting defensive operations on the Kurakhove and Pokrovske fronts, that is, in the direction of the main Russian attack.

"Here, the enemy's main striking forces are concentrated, trying to break through the defense of our troops and, if successful, advance to the large population centers of Kurakhove and Pokrovske," he noted.

As the Commander-in-Chief emphasized, with a numerical advantage from the very beginning in personnel, armaments, and military equipment, the enemy daily attacks the positions of Ukrainian troops.

"In these conditions, our task is to hold the occupied positions and positions, to inflict maximum losses on the enemy with artillery fire, strike drones, and all means available, to exhaust it, thereby thwarting enemy plans and winning time for the formation and preparation of our reserves," he emphasized.

Syrskyi reported that he had worked with unit commanders.

"The role and place of an officer have always been decisive in achieving success or failure on the battlefield. It is impossible for a company or battalion commander to lead the battle several kilometers away from their units and make balanced and adequate decisions at a distance, especially when the intensity of combat escalates, and there is a high risk to the lives of soldiers. The presence of a commander plays a crucial role in maintaining a high level of morale and psychological state among subordinates, their resilience, and confidence that they are not abandoned," the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.

Syrskyi noted that during his work with brigade commanders and their subordinates, he made all the necessary decisions regarding strengthening the defense with reserves, allocating additional missiles, ammunition, electronic warfare means, and drones.

He expressed confidence that "this will help our units successfully repel enemy attacks and inflict significant losses on them."
