The situation on the front is currently escalating. The Russian Federation is attempting to seize the strategic initiative on the battlefield.

This was reported in a statement by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"The situation on the front has escalated. Attempting to seize the strategic initiative and break through the front line, the enemy has concentrated its main efforts on several directions, creating a significant advantage in forces and means," explained Syrskyi.

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian forces is actively attacking across the entire front line, with tactical successes on some fronts.

Syrskyi explained that there is currently a dynamic change in the situation, with individual positions changing hands several times within a day, leading to an ambiguous understanding of the situation.

In the Luhansk region, the Russian forces is trying to take advantage of its superiority in the air, rockets, and the quantity of artillery ammunition. Their main task is to reach the administrative border of the Luhansk region.

The main directions of the Russian efforts on the Kupiansk direction are the villages of Stelmakhivka and Berestove. The Russian forces had partial success there, but was stopped by actions of Ukrainian units. Additionally, the Russians continue their advance on the village of Terny on the Liman direction, attempting to displace the Ukrainian Defense Forces beyond the Black Stallion River. However, the Russians have not succeeded in this endeavor.

On the Siverskyi direction, the Russian forces is advancing in the areas of Bilohorivka and Rozdolivka, attempting to break through and block Siversk to create conditions for further advance on Sloviansk. However, they have not succeeded, and according to Syrskyi, the Russian advance in this direction has been halted.

On the Kramatorsk direction, the hottest spots remain Ivanivske and Chasiv Yar. Additionally, the Russian forces is attempting to regain control over Klyshivka and advance to the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas Canal.

The most complex situation is on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv directions, where fierce battles continue.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the Russian forces has engaged up to four brigades on these directions, attempting to advance west of Avdiivka and Mariinka, breaking through to Pokrovsk and Kurakhove.

Ukrainian troops are inflicting maximum losses on the Russian forces, both in personnel and military equipment. To strengthen the defense on these fronts, brigades that have restored combat readiness are being relocated.

Syrskyi noted that the situation remains tense in the South, in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. On the Novopavlivka direction, the Russian forces is attempting to advance in the area of Staryi Maiorove, while on the Orihiv direction, they are in the areas of Robitne and Verbove, and in the Kherson direction, they still hope to dislodge our troops from Krynky.

There has been no success on any of the directions. Moreover, on the Kherson direction, Ukrainian units have managed to advance in the area of Veletenske and establish control over Nestryga Island.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have also managed to improve their tactical position in the area of Synkivka (Kupiansk direction) and Serebrianske Forestry (Lyman direction).

According to Syrskyi, in northern Ukraine, the enemy continues shelling border settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions, and also conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities.

There are no signs of direct preparation by the enemy for offensive actions in northern Ukraine.

"At the same time, we are monitoring the increase in the number and regrouping of enemy forces on the Kharkiv direction. On the most threatening directions, our troops are reinforced with artillery and tank units," said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Training and rotation of military personnel Syrskyi explained that the rotation of military units continues with the aim of organizing rest for personnel and restoring the combat readiness of our military units.

In addition, training of personnel in training centers is ongoing, with the main focus on the quality and proficiency in handling weapons.

"Work on fortifying defensive lines and positions continues. Also, work is being done with partners to obtain means of attack, weapons, and military equipment as quickly as possible," he added.
