Russian pilots lie in reports about destroying maritime drones with missiles because they are afraid to approach them
This was stated by the commander of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence’s special unit “Group 13,” call sign “Thirteenth,” in an interview with TSN.
According to him, the advantage of the strike maritime platforms Magura is their low visibility in the waters. This significantly complicates the Russian occupiers’ ability to counter this Ukrainian technological weapon, which can destroy enemy ships, aircraft, and helicopters.
“We had problems with (Russian) helicopters — we solved them. After that, they started using naval aviation. When enemy aircraft recognize that a drone is coming with missiles, they report that they ‘destroyed the drone,’ that their ‘ammunition ran out,’ although we don’t even feel it. That is, there is outright lying from their officers and pilots. They just discharge somewhere over the sea, drop their ammo, report that they destroyed everything, and return to land. They’re afraid to get close,” — said the commander of “Group 13.”
He also emphasized that to maintain an advantage over the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the presence of strike maritime drones in the Black Sea waters must be constant.
“We have achieved about 90% of our goal, if we talk about tying down the Black Sea Fleet. Regarding aviation — we are taking the first steps, we are on the way. It is very important not to lose the advantages we have. To say that we achieved our goals and can rest — that’s wrong, because our work, our activity in the Black Sea waters must be continuous,” — stated “Thirteenth.”
