During the past day, on December 20, Ukrainian military forces eliminated 508 Russians on the Tavria front. Nearly a dozen Russian forces personnels surrendered as prisoners of war.
This information was reported on the Facebook page of the united press center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction.
During the day, the Russian forces:
- conducted 19 air strikes;
- engaged in 53 combat clashes;
- carried out 1054 artillery shelling.
Avdiivka axis:
Defense forces repelled 14 enemy attacks in the areas of Novokalynove, east of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, and another 22 attacks near Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
Mariupol axis:
Military forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Marinka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 10 attacks.
Shakhtarsk axis:
The enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
Zaporizhzhia axis:
The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 6 enemy attacks west of Verbove and south of Robotine in the Zaporizhzhia region.

"On the Melitopol direction, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue actively engaging the occupying forces, causing losses in personnel and equipment, and wearing down the enemy along the entire front line," the press service states.
The Russian losses amounted to 508 individuals, with nearly a dozen surrendering as prisoners of war. In particular, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 4 ammunition depots and 27 pieces of military equipment, including:
- 1 tank;
- 6 armored combat vehicles (BMPs);
- 6 artillery systems;
- 13 vehicles;
- 1 unit of special equipment.
"Additionally, 33 units of enemy equipment were damaged," the press service adds.
