According to him, it is essential for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to cut off the ways of transferring the reserves of the occupiers, to strengthen them with manpower, equipment, and weapons.
The destruction of the Crimean (Kerch) bridge, through which the Russian invaders transport military equipment for their army, is a tactical necessity for the de-occupation of southern Ukraine.
This was stated by Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Marchenko in an interview with Apostrophe.
According to him, thanks to the bridge, Russia ensures the transfer of reserves, and the reinforcement of manpower, equipment, and weapons of the occupiers. An important condition for eliminating the bridge are missiles with a range of up to 300 kilometers.
Indeed, with such missiles, we could destroy their headquarters, rear points for the supply of fuel, weapons, military equipment. We could wage such a cruel war of attrition. If we destroyed their ammunition, fuel, food supplies, then you understand that chaos would begin in their troops

At the same time, the destruction of only the Crimean bridge will only complicate the transfer of reserves for the Russian Federation but will not make it completely impossible because there are now ten large landing ships in the Black Sea that can take on the function of ferries.
You understand that the Crimean bridge will not be one target. It will be a complex of targets during the defeat. I think the ships will also fall under these targets
