The defense forces destroyed 85 drones used by Russian troops to attack Ukraine since the evening, with another 52 Russian drone imitators lost in specific locations without negative consequences.
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, starting from 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, the Russians launched a total of 140 Shahed-type kamikaze drones and other types of drone imitators from the cities of Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. The attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9:00 AM Thursday, 85 Shahed drones and other drones of various types were confirmed shot down in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovograd, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odessa regions.
52 Russian drone imitators did not reach their targets.
As a result of the attack, Odessa and Kharkiv regions were affected.
