In Ukraine, the State Register of operators engaged in the production of products in accordance with the requirements of legislation in the field of organic production, circulation, and labeling of organic products has been launched.

The registry already includes the first operators who have obtained a certificate confirming the compliance of organic production and circulation of organic products with the requirements of Ukrainian legislation in the field of organic production, circulation, and labeling of organic products.

The launch of registries in the field of organic production, circulation, and labeling of organic products is another important step in the development of the Ukrainian organic sector of the economy. Until now, the production of organic products in Ukraine was carried out according to standards equivalent to EU and other countries' standards. Therefore, the launch of the operator registry means that the shelves of domestic stores will now be filled with organic products that are produced and certified in accordance with Ukrainian law and labeled with the Ukrainian state logo.

As a reminder, at the beginning of June this year, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy initiated the establishment of a registry of certification bodies.

At that time, the first certification body, LLC "ORGANIC STANDARD," was included in the registry of certification bodies. It successfully passed accreditation by the National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine. This allowed it to certify organic production and circulation of organic products in accordance with the requirements of Ukrainian law.
