The Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine has received confirmation of guaranteed daily gas supplies of 42 million cubic meters from Slovakia until the end of winter 2026, as reported by the company's CEO, Dmitry Lippa, at the Energy Security Dialogue-2024 event organized by DiXi Group in Kyiv.
"I have just received confirmation from the Slovak operator (Eustream a.s.) about the guaranteed capacity of 42 million cubic meters per day, which they had previously confirmed to us temporarily. Now, we have received this confirmation until the end of winter 2026," he said.
According to Lippa, Ukraine now has mainline access to gas sourced from Germany in the Baltic Sea basin and other sources.
"This means that Ukraine can secure its gas supply if needed," emphasized the CEO.
Additionally, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine is in the final stages of negotiations with Poland’s gas transmission operator, Gaz System S.A., to secure guaranteed gas supply capacity from Poland.
"Currently, there is only intermittent capacity from Poland, meaning we cannot guarantee gas supplies from Poland... We are in the final stages. I think we will be able to comment on this next week," Lippa concluded.
