Lithuanian journalist Andrius Tapinas is known as the initiator of the fundraising campaign in Lithuania to purchase the Bayraktar complex and a series of weapons purchases for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"My last name is written, but this medal is for all of us - who donated, distributed, supported, organized, and tried to make Ukrainian intelligence have sharper electronic eyes. We will continue to do this and we will not get tired! Glory to Ukraine!", Andrius Tapinas commented on the award he received from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
