Within the framework of the Contact Group on Defense Matters of Ukraine, the "Drone Coalition" has officially been launched.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, signed the relevant letter of intent, as announced by the Ministry of Defense. Additionally, the Minister expressed gratitude to the co-leaders of the coalition, Latvia and Britain.

"This is a milestone on the path to achieving technological superiority over our enemy," said Rustem Umierov. He added that the mass production and supply of UAVs significantly expand the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The "Drone Coalition" already includes 9 participating countries: Latvia, Great Britain, Ukraine, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia, and the Netherlands. However, entry is also open to other interested countries.

It is worth noting that Latvia has taken on a leadership role in the "Drone Coalition" among countries providing military support to Ukraine to deter Russian aggression.

Moreover, Ukraine and other states have previously signed an agreement to cooperate within the IT coalition for cyber defense. This is the first agreement within the framework of coalition capabilities, with participants including Estonia and Luxembourg (leading countries), as well as Belgium, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Ukraine itself.
