During the summer of 2023, the western regions of Ukraine became leaders in terms of the cost of agricultural land. According to data from the OpenDataBot service:
In June, the most expensive land was in Lviv Region, with prices reaching 139,400 UAH per hectare. The lowest land prices were recorded in the Kharkiv Region at 26,300 UAH per hectare.
In July, the regions with the highest land prices were Rivne Region (144,200 UAH per hectare) and Ivano-Frankivsk Region (140,900 UAH per hectare). Donetsk Region had the lowest land prices during this period at 19,080 UAH per hectare.
In August, Ivano-Frankivsk Region maintained its lead in terms of agricultural land prices, although prices slightly decreased to 111,500 UAH per hectare. Zaporizhzhia Region had the lowest land prices in the last month of summer at 26,570 UAH per hectare.
The average cost of agricultural land in Ukraine in June was 39,860 UAH per hectare, in July it was 44,900 UAH per hectare, and in August, it was 39,850 UAH per hectare.
However, it's worth noting that the total land area sold during the summer decreased from 14,900 hectares in June to 13,400 hectares in July and further to 10,450 hectares in August
