The 31st meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the “Ramstein” format will take place on Wednesday, October 15, NATO’s press service reported.

The United Kingdom and Germany are convening the Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defense at NATO headquarters in Brussels. The meeting will be held at the level of defense ministers.

According to the Alliance, the event will begin at 3 p.m. Brussels time (4 p.m. Kyiv time). Statements by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal are scheduled for 5 p.m. (6 p.m. Kyiv time).

President Volodymyr Zelensky also confirmed this information. He said that on October 13, Shmyhal briefed him on preparations for the new “Ramstein” meeting, which will be held on Wednesday. According to Zelensky, Ukraine’s priorities are air defense — not only with a list of necessary systems and missiles but also with a clear understanding of which countries can provide them quickly and on what terms.

On the same day, a ministerial meeting of NATO member states and the NATO–Ukraine Council will also take place at the Alliance’s headquarters in Brussels.
