Russians at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant are preparing to block the plant's personnel.
This was reported in the Telegram channel of NNEGC Energoatom. According to them, the invaders are preparing for the long-term holding of ZNPP employees hostage due to the desperate shortage of professional nuclear scientists needed to operate the plant and fearing a Ukrainian offensive.
"The invaders have already brought a lot of provisions and water to the station. Probably, the occupiers will not let the station staff go after one of the next work shifts, blocking them by force at the ZNPP," the report says.
As the company noted, the occupiers had already carried out a similar trick at the beginning of a full-scale invasion when they closed the station shift at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant. Then the invaders did not let the station staff go home for about a month, holding people hostage until the de-occupation.
