Expert examinations have determined that the manufacturer of "Shahed" is the Iranian aerospace company Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company. This information was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, citing expert examinations in response to the inquiry from "Suspilne" (National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine).

The Prosecutor General's Office, referring to the expert examinations, stated that the combat drones of the "Shahed-131\136" type used by Russia to shell Ukraine since September 2022 are produced by the Iranian state aerospace company Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company.

"The conclusions of expert studies have been obtained, according to which UAVs labeled as 'Heran-2' have been identified as kamikaze-type UAVs of the 'Shahed-136' model. Another sample seized under the name 'Heran-1' has been identified as a kamikaze-type combat UAV 'Shahed-131'. The developer and manufacturer of the mentioned UAVs is the company Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Company (HESA) of the Islamic Republic of Iran," the letter states.

According to the publication, this is the first data from law enforcement agencies that may indicate Iran's involvement in the production of UAVs.

In response to "Suspilne's" inquiry about foreign components found in drones, the Prosecutor's Office stated that they have sent requests to 9 countries to establish the supply routes of the components. The list of countries is not specified.

"Requests for international legal assistance have been sent to 9 countries worldwide to establish the supply routes of dual-use UAV components to the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation."

Earlier, experts from the Main Intelligence Directorate and the State Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense demonstrated to "Suspilne" that they found elements, including those from Japan, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Canada, Iran, and the USA, in the combat drones.
