Since the beginning of the day, there have been 76 combat engagements on the front lines, with the most intense fighting currently taking place in the Kurakhiv and Pokrovsk directions.

'The situation on the front remains complex and tense. Despite significant losses inflicted by our defenders, the Russian forces continue attempts to break through the Ukrainian defenses. Today, the hottest spots are in the Kurakhiv and Pokrovsk directions. Overall, there have been 76 combat engagements since the beginning of the day,' the statement says.
According to the General Staff, Russian forces' artillery and aviation attacks continue unabated along the border regions of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts. Today, areas around the settlements of Mykolaivka, Malushyne, Halahanivka, Popivka, Tovstodubove, and Oleksandrivka were affected by artillery shelling from Russian territory. Additionally, Russian forces struck with cluster bombs in the areas of Hremiach, Pustohorod, Hlukhiv, Richky, Pavlivka, and Mykolaivka, dropping a total of 20 aerial bombs.
The aggressor has also targeted its own territory; according to available information, today Russian forces conducted eight air strikes on the Kursk region, using ten aerial bombs.
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces have stormed the defensive positions of Ukrainian troops near Vovchansk. Fighting is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces actively attacked our positions five times in the areas of Synkivka and Lozova. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the defense.
Today, in the Lyman direction, the occupying army launched 16 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Druzheliubivka, Tverdokhlibove, Nevske, Makiivka, Novosadove, and Torske. Eleven engagements have ended, with five still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, near the settlements of Verkhniokamianske, Hryhorivka, and Spirne, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks by Russian forces.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces carried out three assault actions towards our positions near Ivanivske and Kalynivka. Currently, one engagement is ongoing. The situation is under control.
In the Toretsk direction, the number of Russian attacks has increased to five. The Russian forces have concentrated their efforts in the areas of Dachne, Toretsk, and Nelipivka, where Defense Forces have repelled two attacks, and three engagements are still ongoing. The Russian forces are actively using aviation in this direction, including bombarding the areas of Toretsk and Ivanopillia.
Since the beginning of the day, in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces, with aviation support, have made 14 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvizhenska, Svyrydonivka, Hrodivka, Ivanivka, Novohrodivka, Mykhailivka, and Marynivka. Defense Forces have repelled 11 attacks, with three ongoing. Russian losses are being clarified.
Fighting continues near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Ukrainske, Antonivka, and Kostyantynivka in the Kurakhiv direction. According to updated information, 14 attacks by the Russian forces have been recorded today, with three still ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, Russian forces have not conducted active offensive operations so far but are carrying out shelling of positions, settlements, and conducting air strikes.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces made one unsuccessful attempt to attack our units near Maly Shcherbaky.
In the Dnipro direction, Russian forces made five unsuccessful attempts to dislodge Ukrainian troops from their positions.
