In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, the Russians have intensified the movement of military equipment in two directions: north towards Donetsk and towards Berdiansk.
This information was reported by Mariupol's mayor's advisor, Petro Andriushchenko.
Local authorities have observed "a renewed increase in the movement of military forces in Mariupol in two directions:"
- To the north of the Donetsk region in the direction of Volnovakha, originating from Berdiansk (mostly trucks with up to 12 units of live force, some with Rapira-class cannons).
- Towards Berdiansk (air defense systems, trucks with ammunition and engineering equipment)."
Andriushchenko also noted that the Russians are preparing for another reserve force deployment in the Mariupol region and an increase in the occupation forces within Mariupol itself.
He mentioned, "The majority of the reinforcements are arriving in Mariupol from the Berdiansk direction, rather than the usual route from Novoazovsk. This is most likely due to the insufficient reserves of live force currently available directly in the territory of the Russian Federation."
