The invaders are moving prisoners of war from the "International Legion" to the Donbas. This is done for their illegal trial in the so-called "DPR" and "LPR", as well as for the death penalty.

Such information was shared by the speaker of the "International Legion" Damien Magrou in a conversation with Channel 24.

“There is a theory that they are doing this so that they could be given the death penalty. And it is very worrying that the military is being transported against their will to another region. But this is a war crime,” Damien Magrou said.

According to the speaker, it has now become difficult to determine where foreign prisoners are and how they are treated. The Ukrainian side is trying in every possible way to return the legionnaires who ended up in the hands of the invaders. Work in this direction is carried out at the country's top leadership level.

“What worries me most is not working on exchange procedures because I am sure that officials are doing everything necessary for this. And I am most concerned about the status of these foreign prisoners of war,” Damien Magrou continued.

The speaker recalled that in the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" illegal "meetings" are held, where prisoners of war are tried as mercenaries and sentenced to death. This is a severe violation of the Geneva Conventions and the principles of international law.

“We see that Russia does not treat our foreign prisoners of war well, and this was reported at the beginning of the war. But this position of Russia concerning foreign fighters is illegal,” Magrou summed up.

The occupation administration of the "DPR" in early July lifted the moratorium on the death penalty. After that, the leader of the militants, Denis Pushilin, said that foreign prisoners of war would be shot.
