Security has discovered a mobile application through which users in the form of games were lured by geolocation and actual photos of strategic objects.

The aggressor used a popular game program for smartphones to involve children in subversive activities. Under its terms, participants are looking for so-called "boxes" with virtual prizes that can be exchanged for electronic money.

Children take photos of the area during the route, including military and critical infrastructure in various settlements. All information on geolocations quest participants uploads to the database of the game application.

At the same time, an IT company controlled by the Russian special services, which is registered in one of the European countries and distributes interactive platforms, has access to the administration of this application.

Thus, the enemy "in the dark", ie without their knowledge, used Ukrainian children to gather information about the location of strategically important objects.

In particular, two teenagers were detained in the Kirovohrad region for photographing checkpoints, elevators and transport routes.

Both minors are residents of the town of Zhovti Vody in the Dnipropetrovsk region. An interactive application was installed on their smartphones, where they planned to upload photos taken with the location.

In addition, the teenagers forwarded their virtual "finds" with coordinates on a map in the Telegram messenger to third parties who could be in the field of view of the Russian secret services.

The SBU is taking comprehensive measures to block hostile interference in the electronic systems of official mobile applications and bring the perpetrators to justice.
