The SSU has identified two individuals who directed a Russian missile strike on a cafe in the village of Groza in the Kharkiv region on October 5th.

The perpetrators were two local residents, 30-year-old Volodymyr Mamon and his younger brother, 23-year-old Dmytro Mamon, who switched sides to support the Russian occupiers during the region's occupation.

For their actions, the individuals were given positions within the occupation's "Internal Affairs Department of the Military-Civilian Administration of the Kharkiv Region." One of them was appointed as a "convoy group driver," while the other became a "road patrol service inspector."

However, on the eve of the region's liberation, both traitors, along with their families, fled to Russia, where they continued to work for the aggressor country.

Under the instructions of Russian occupiers, they remotely started forming their own network of informants on the territory controlled by Ukraine. To do this, they clandestinely involved their relatives, neighbors, and acquaintances from the de-occupied cities and settlements in the Kharkiv region in subversive activities.

Under the guise of friendly conversations and messaging, these traitors gathered information from people about the deployment of the Defense Forces and mass events in the region.

According to the investigation, both suspects began gathering information about the planned reburial of a deceased Ukrainian defender in the village of Groza at the beginning of October this year. They understood that, as a result of an enemy attack, innocent civilians, including acquaintances from the village of Groza and those who provided them with information, would inevitably be killed.

Upon learning the exact address and timing of the peaceful event, Volodymyr Mamon transmitted this information to the Russians.

The information obtained by the Russian occupiers was used to carry out a precise strike on the Ukrainian village using the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile complex. As a result of the aerial attack, 53 innocent civilians, including a child, were killed, and six more civilians were injured.

As both perpetrators are currently hiding in Russia, comprehensive measures are being taken to locate them and bring them to justice.

The investigation was conducted by the Security Service in the Kharkiv region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
