Fighters from the 3rd Assault Brigade and the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade have expelled the occupiers who broke through to the outskirts of Orlivka on the Avdiivka direction.
This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
The Commander-in-Chief noted that during the operation, certain commanders showed shortcomings in situational awareness and assessment of the enemy, which directly affected the defense stability on certain fronts.
However, the command corrected the situation on the ground and allocated additional resources of ammunition and material means, as well as necessary reserves.
"I want to commend the courage, resilience, and heroism of the servicemen of the 3rd Assault Brigade and the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. With bold and decisive actions, they expelled the enemy who broke through to the outskirts of Orlivka," Syrskyi wrote.
Orlivka plays a crucial role in defense and repelling Russian advances following the loss of Avdiivka. This settlement is pivotal in the defensive line that stretches through Tonenke, Semenivka, Orlivka, and Berdychi.
Near these settlements are heights and reservoir cascades designed to provide Ukrainian forces with an advantage over the Rusian forces.
