The United States has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth 725 million dollars, which includes ammunition for HIMARS and anti-personnel mines.
This was reported by the U.S. Department of Defense in its press release.
This aid is provided under the Presidential Drawdown Authority and comes directly from U.S. Department of Defense stockpiles, allowing for the immediate fulfillment of urgent needs.
As part of the assistance, Ukraine will receive, in particular:
- Munitions for National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS);
- Stinger missiles;
- Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (c-UAS) munitions;
- Ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
- 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition;
- Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS);
- Non-persistent land mines;
- Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided (TOW) missiles;
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems;
- Small arms and ammunition;
- Demolitions equipment and munitions;
- Equipment to protect critical national infrastructure; and
- Spare parts, ancillary equipment, services, training, and transportation.
Overall, since the beginning of Russia's invasion on February 24, 2022, as of December 2, 2024, the United States has allocated approximately 61.4 billion dollars in security assistance to Ukraine.
