On Wednesday, the U.S. Senate approved the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act, a $900 billion defense bill that allocates $800 million to Ukraine, and sent it to the president for signature, CBS News reports.

The bill passed with 77 senators in favor and 20 against. Under the legislation, the U.S. defense budget for 2026 will total $901 billion.

It includes a 3.8% pay raise for all service members.

The bill also provides $800 million in aid to Ukraine under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI). Over the next two years, Kyiv will receive $400 million annually. These funds will be directed to U.S. companies supplying weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
