The American design award, Best of Year Awards 2023, has announced its finalists, including three projects from Ukrainian design studios.

Sivak+Partners studio was recognized for the design of the Tanu gelateria counter in Odessa. The project is competing in the Counter Service category. The cafe, featuring its own beverages and ice cream production, opened in July 2022 under the name "Tanu" and was later renamed Tanu. Previously, the establishment received the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards for the best interior design.

The private house project "Relogged" by Balbek Bureau has reached the finals in the Small Country House category of the Best of Year Awards 2023. The studio reimagined the log structure, originally built as a cabin, through a redesign. The log cabin was adapted for a modern interior with precise construction modifications and the incorporation of furniture and interior solutions.

Also among the award finalists is the design project for Hay Boutique Hotel and SPA by Edem Family in Bukovel by Yod Group. The project will compete in the Boutique Hotel category. According to the architects' concept, the interior replicates the local Ukrainian nature and regional craft traditions.

"In our opinion, this is what modern Ukrainian design looks like. It is concise and high-quality, with an author's approach and a strong cultural background," noted Yod Group.
