Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper discussed the implementation of joint Ukrainian-Italian projects with Marco Rusconi, including the flagship initiative to build a new medical facility for the Odesa Regional Children's Clinical Hospital with Italian support.
“We discussed concrete steps for implementing joint Ukrainian-Italian projects aimed at the recovery and development of the region,” Kiper wrote on Telegram.
He emphasized that the key project is the construction of a new treatment building for the Odesa Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, which is being implemented with the support of the Italy.

According to Kiper, Rusconi personally reviewed the progress of the project's preparation and implementation, including practical mechanisms for moving into the active construction phase and ensuring further coordination among all parties involved.
The sides agreed to continue their dialogue during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdańsk, where they plan to discuss opportunities to expand cooperation between the Odessa region and Italian partners.
“I thank the Government of Italy and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation for their consistent support of Odessa region and their willingness to participate in projects that are important for the recovery and development of the region,” Kiper concluded.
