Ukraine and the Netherlands have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that provides for the launch of joint production of deep-strike UAVs in the Netherlands, with €110 million in investments under the Build with Ukraine initiative.

This was reported by Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal on Facebook.

Shmyhal met in Kyiv with Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans and briefed him on the aftermath of the overnight strikes.

The defense ministers discussed in detail the implementation of the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed today in the presence of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“The agreement provides for the launch of joint production of deep-strike UAVs in the Netherlands, involving €110 million in investments under the Build with Ukraine initiative,” Shmyhal noted.

The parties also focused on Ukraine’s key priorities — increasing drone production for the front and for city defense, strengthening the long-range capabilities of the Defense Forces, and tightening sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation.

Shmyhal highlighted the special role of the Netherlands in enhancing Ukraine’s defense capabilities — support under the PURL initiative, transfer of F-16 fighter jets, air defense systems, and assistance in developing defense manufacturing.

The Defense Minister expressed gratitude to the government and people of the Netherlands, as well as personally to Minister Brekelmans, for their strong contribution to Ukraine’s shared victory.
