The Scientific and Expert Council on the Registration of Pesticides and Agrochemicals under the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine has approved around 120 products for use on the domestic market.
This decision was made during the council meeting on January 20, reports the European Business Association (EBA).
“This is an extremely important development for the agricultural sector, as the timely registration of crop protection products is a key prerequisite for conducting a high-quality and effective sowing campaign. It enables agricultural producers to gain advance access to modern and efficient solutions for crop protection,” the association explained.
They also noted that less than six months after the reorganization, the ministry’s team managed to restart all major regulatory processes in the crop protection products market. The registration of new products has become an important signal for businesses regarding the stabilization of the regulatory environment.
The EBA expressed hope that meetings of the Scientific and Expert Council will continue to be held on a regular basis.
