The Security Service of Ukraine released exclusive footage of a prisoner exchange on August 24.
The SSU reported the event and published the video.
“Today’s exchange is the result of the work of the Joint Center for the Coordination of the Search and Release of Prisoners of War, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, and other authorized bodies that carried out the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky,” the SSU stated.
As a result of this exchange, soldiers of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, and civilians returned home. Most of them had been held captive since 2022.
In particular, journalist Dmytro Khilyuk, who was abducted in the Kyiv region in March 2022, was successfully returned home.
“The life of every Ukrainian is of the highest value! We are working to fulfill the President’s directive and bring back all citizens of our country from captivity!” the SSU emphasized.
