Ukraine has opened 16 new agricultural export markets over the course of the year

Ukrainian exporters gained access to 16 new markets in nine countries in 2024. This was reported by the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service.

The new markets include:

  • Poultry/feather/fishmeal – Israel
  • Oils and fats for animal feed – Israel
  • Honey – China
  • Marine and freshwater aquatic animals (fish, mollusks, crustaceans, echinoderms, including those farmed) and products from them – Kuwait
  • Poultry meat and products – Bahrain
  • Mechanically deboned poultry meat – Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Egg products – Canada
  • Canned pet food – Albania
  • Chew items for pets – Albania
  • Ungulates registered for breeding and usage purposes – Moldova
  • Poultry meat semi-finished products – Moldova
  • Composite products – Moldova
  • Meat products for human consumption – Moldova
  • Veterinary health certificate for accompanying reptiles – Israel
  • Meat products for human consumption – Albania
  • Meat products – North Macedonia

Overall, Ukraine has export access to 360 agricultural product trade directions.

"The shared goal of the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to increase Ukraine's export potential and that of its producers. The results of 2024 show that this has been successful. For example, our honey can now be exported to China, and egg products to Canada," emphasized Serhiy Tkachuk, Head of the State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service. "Currently, we are working with over 60 countries worldwide to ensure that Ukrainian producers can export their plant and animal products."
