Ukraine has received approximately $400 million under the guarantee of the United Kingdom through the World Bank Trust Fund for covering social expenditures, as reported by the Ministry of Finance on November 23.
The funds are part of the fifth additional financing for the project 'Supporting State Expenditures for Sustainable Public Administration in Ukraine' (PEACE in Ukraine). The financing will be directed towards partially compensating the expenditures of Ukraine's state budget incurred for pension reimbursements and the payment of medical workers under the medical guarantees program.
The credit is provided on favorable terms, with a repayment period of 19 years and a 5-year grace period.
The total amount of financial assistance from the United Kingdom since February 2022 is $2 billion USD.
