President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed a second strike on an oil refinery in Ufa, Russia.
“Once again, our sanctions responses to Russia’s prolongation of the war have reached the oil refinery in Ufa—one of the largest Russian producers of lubricants. Distance—over 1,300 kilometers from the front line,” the President emphasized.
Zelensky also noted that “in the Penza region, our weapons reached a strategic facility of the Russian military-industrial complex involved in the development and production of components for missile weapons used by the occupiers to strike our cities and communities. Distance to the target—about 600 kilometers from the front line.”
According to the head of state, the plan for the use of Ukraine’s long-range “sanctions” is being carried out daily, and this is a fair response to everything Russia is doing against Ukraine.
“Peace is needed, and this is what the Russian leadership must understand. Russia must end its war. And the Russian leadership has all the capabilities to do so. I thank every Ukrainian soldier who ensures our long-range precision,” the President said.
In Penza, one of the targeted facilities is JSC NIIFI (Scientific Research Institute of Physical Measurements), according to OSINT analysis by ASTRA.
The institute is engaged in the development, production, and testing of sensors, signal conversion equipment, and diagnostic systems for rocket and space technology. The enterprise is located in Penza and is part of the holding Russian Space Systems (State Corporation Roscosmos).
Developer of excess and absolute pressure sensors, as well as linear and angular displacement sensors for aviation equipment. Its products are used in aircraft, helicopters, and weapons systems, including the Bulava, Topol-M, and Sineva ICBMs, as well as the Iskander missile systems. It is part of the state corporation Roscosmos.
It supplies pressure sensors for the engines of Kh-101 and Kh-59M2/Kh-59M2A cruise missiles, as well as sensors and measurement systems for the Su-34. For the Su-57, it produces DAV-096 absolute pressure sensors, temperature indication and wheel cooling systems (SITUOK-01), and landing gear parameter monitoring systems (SKPSh-01).
