Ukraine will launch exports of its products through the Danube in the coming days after Polish farmers intensified the border blockade.

This was reported by Vice Prime Minister for Reintegration - Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, during a TV marathon.

He mentioned that Ukraine's main export route - the Black Sea - is operational thanks to the efforts of defense forces. In January of this year, our country transported 6.7 million tons of agricultural products through the Black Sea and the Danube. Only 370 thousand tons were transit shipments through Poland, which is about 5% of the total quantity.

According to Kubrakov, our main channels are the Black Sea and the Danube cluster, which Ukraine plans to develop.

He added that products with added value were mostly exported through land corridors, primarily through Poland.

"What are we proposing now? In the coming days, we are launching barges with containers through the Danube to the ports of Romania, the port of Constanța. The first two ships will depart in the coming days. We also expect that in the coming days, we will be able to upstream the Danube to supply the products of our manufacturers to the markets of Germany and Austria, bypassing Poland," clarified the minister.

Reminder: Yesterday, February 20, Polish farmers intensified the blockade of the border with Ukraine. They not only blocked roads but also railways.

Additionally, the farmers once again staged provocations - this time they unloaded Ukrainian grain from a train.

The Polish government announced negotiations with the protesters on February 26 to resolve the situation.
