President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a conversation with his Argentine counterpart Javier Milei, stated that Ukraine is ready to provide the necessary assistance in connection with the deadly flood that recently affected Argentina.

Zelensky announced this on Telegram.

He expressed his condolences to Milei regarding the natural disaster, which claimed the lives of 16 people and left thousands of Argentinians homeless.

Among other things, the presidents discussed strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in trade and economic matters.

Zelensky also informed Milei about the constructive meeting between Ukrainian and American teams in Jeddah, specifically that Ukraine supported the U.S. proposal for an unconditional, full 30-day ceasefire.

"Now we see how Russia is putting forward absolutely unnecessary conditions and is essentially rejecting this proposal. Moscow does not want peace but the continuation of war. Javier’s voice can help bring peace closer. We are counting on him," the President stated.

On March 7, a flood struck the port city of Bahía Blanca in eastern Argentina, submerging several districts. At least 16 people are known to have died, and dozens are reported missing. The country has declared three days of mourning.
