The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision to transfer 12 unified property complexes of state-owned enterprises from the Ministry of Energy to the State Property Fund, First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said on Telegram.
“They include coal mining and sales enterprises — Lvivvuhillia, Volynvuhillia, Ukrvuhillia and other enterprises currently located in temporarily occupied territories,” he wrote.
According to Shmyhal, the Ministry of Energy and the State Property Fund will begin working together to find effective private investors for state-owned mines.
“Our task is to improve the efficiency of state-owned coal mining, increase private investment in the sector and improve its financial position,” he said.
Shmyhal added that the Ministry of Energy supports preserving all social guarantees for miners, including exemptions from military mobilisation for employees. The relevant budget requests have been submitted to the Ministry of Finance and included in the draft state budget for 2027.
